Clarifi Staffing Solutions is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher for a 7th-grade position, responsible for supporting approximately 8 students on their caseload. This position involves a combination of co‑teaching and direct instruction across various classroom settings to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

Role Overview
  • Co‑teaching: Collaborate with general education teachers to co‑teach several 7th‑grade math classes, providing specialized support and ensuring that students with Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) have access to grade‑level content.
  • Self‑contained Math Class: Teach one self‑contained math class, designed to offer personalized instruction to a small group of students requiring more intensive support in mathematics.
  • Academic Resource Classes: Lead two academic resource classes where students receive additional support for their core academic subjects. In this setting, you will focus on reinforcing key concepts, helping students manage coursework, and working on individual IEP goals.

This role requires strong collaboration with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the appropriate accommodations and modifications necessary for their success.

Requirements
  • Illinois teaching certification with LBS1 endorsement
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with parents, staff, and students.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs.
  • Strong ability to co‑teach and collaborate with general education teachers to deliver inclusive instruction.
  • Prior experience working with middle school students, preferably in a co‑teaching or self‑contained setting.
  • Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
