Lincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part-time instructors to teach Aluminum TIG Welding at our main campus in Springfield for both day and evening classes.
Adjunct Faculty members receive one paid absence per class per semester; free access to the LLCC Fitness Center; a travel stipend if commuting more than twenty miles; and a tuition waiver benefit for adjunct faculty and their dependents under the age of 22. Adjuncts with qualifying assignments also participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS). Further details can be found on the college website.
Position RequirementsApplicants must have 2000 hours of employment in welding &/or completion of an apprenticeship program (Journeyman), &/or CWI / CWE certification. Knowledge, skills and prior teaching experience in the areas of shielded metal arc, MIG, TIG, aluminum, fabrication, pipe, plasma arc cutting and blueprint reading is preferred.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
