• Valid Illinois PEL with LBS1 elementary endorsement
• Strong interpersonal communication skills in working with teachers, students, parents and staff
• Ability to informally assess learning and behavioral needs of students

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the specific needs of each student in the classroom, focusing on academic, social, communication, and behavioral goals.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons using evidence-based strategies and differentiated instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices (such as Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Structured Teaching, and Visual Supports).
• Implement the approved curriculum with fidelity.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as partof a multidisciplinary team
• Communicate regularly with parents and caregivers to provide updates on student progress, discuss strategies for supporting learning and behavior at home, and collaborate on IEP development and implementation.
• Implement positive behavior support strategies and proactive interventions to promote a positive and supportive learning environment, including the use of visual supports,structured routines, and sensory accommodations.
• Collect data on student progress towards IEP goals and objectives, analyze data to inform instructional decision-making, and adjust teaching strategies as needed to maximize student learning outcomes.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices
• Perform any other duties as assigned by building principal or student support services administrators.
