Position: School Psychologist [82288]

We’re partnering with a school district in southern Cook County, IL to hire a dedicated School Psychologist for the  school year.

In this role, you will support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder by promoting academic achievement, social-emotional development, and overall well‑being through assessment, intervention, and collaboration with educators, families, and support staff. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize a flexible schedule to play a vital role in creating inclusive, supportive learning environments that help all students succeed.

  • Location: Onsite in Cook County, IL (no remote options available)
  • Schedule: Flexible, at least 2 days per week
  • Guaranteed

    Hours:

    Up to 32.5 hours weekly
  • Start Date: September 2026
  • End Date: January 2027
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations and assessments for students on the Autism spectrum to support special education eligibility, instructional planning, and intervention development.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs and behavioral intervention plans.
  • Provide direct and indirect services including counseling, consultation, and crisis intervention.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute data‑driven recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree or higher in School Psychology or related field.
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychology endorsement via the Illinois State Board of Education.
  • Experience conducting psycho educational assessments in a school‑based setting, particularly with students with ASD.
  • Strong knowledge of special education law and best practices in the state of Illinois.
