The teacher is considered a ministerial employee by working in a Catholic School and agrees to support and strengthen the Catholic Church and its value system. Teachers convey the Catholic Church’s message and carry out its mission through their personal and professional conduct.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Seek an understanding of and implement the educational and spiritual philosophy and procedures of the local school.
- Strictly observe the Code of Professional Ethics.
- Instruct children in assigned subjects, direct and guide students' learning, and adjust instructional level to meet individual student needs.
- Attend to related professional duties: planning lessons, preparing materials, helping individual students, reading professional literature, serving on diocesan staff committees, attending faculty meetings, and meeting with the principal on instructional and disciplinary problems.
- Participate in all faculty meetings and prescribed in‑service training opportunities.
- Attend teacher institutes as stipulated by the school.
- Collaborate with other staff members in supervising children and maintaining discipline before, during, and after school.
- Remain present when classes are scheduled and not leave the classroom during class periods except for emergencies.
- Maintain general knowledge of all information in each student's cumulative folder.
- Obtain principal approval for important communications with parents concerning school matters.
- Encourage responsible conduct and behavior among students and with others outside the school community.
- Contribute to the nurturing and advancement of the physical, mental, and spiritual well‑being of students.
- Report to the principal and parents regarding student educational growth and development.
- Collaborate with parents to support their role as primary educators.
- Communicate professionally with school administration, pastors, parish priests, colleagues, students, parents, and prospective parents.
- Use technology to enhance student learning.
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the principal or pastor.
- Professional Educator License (PEL) preferred.
- Candidate may be enrolled in an accredited program toward professional licensure.
- Minimum requirement: bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Practicing Catholic preferred; required to teach religion or theology courses.
$30,000 – 43,000.
Final salary will be determined by relevant teaching experience and education.

The job requires frequent sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, seeing, touching, reaching, and climbing stairs. Ability to lift 20–30 pounds may be required. Work occurs in standard school environments and outdoors during student activities.
