Overview
Lincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part‑time instructors to teach face‑to‑face Anthropology classes during the day at our main campus in Springfield. Opportunities to teach online courses may be available; however, instructors must first complete our required online teaching training. Applicants must reside in Illinois for the duration of their employment.
ResponsibilitiesAs adjunct faculty, you will be responsible for delivering course content, preparing instructional materials, evaluating student performance, and maintaining a positive learning environment for each class. You will receive one paid absence per class per semester and may teach additional courses as assigned.
Qualifications- Master’s degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of coursework in Anthropology.
- Completion of LLCC’s 12‑week New Online Faculty program prior to the first teaching assignment.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred but not required.
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
- Paid absence per class per semester.
- Free access to the LLCC Fitness Center (during available hours).
- Travel stipend for commutes greater than twenty miles to campus.
- Tuition waiver for adjunct faculty and dependents under 22.
- Participation in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) for qualifying assignments.
