Adjunct Hospitality Instructor

Position Overview

Lincoln Land Community College is soliciting qualified part‑time instructors to teach Hospitality classes at the main campus in Springfield. Classes cover customer service, financial management, and beverage management in both day and evening sessions.

• Deliver engaging, curriculum‑aligned instruction in hospitality subjects.
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and assessments aligned with college standards.
• Maintain accurate instructional records and participate in scheduled faculty meetings.

• Minimum 2,000 hours of professional experience in the hospitality/culinary industry.
• Industry certification(s) and/or associate degree in Hospitality or Culinary Arts preferred.
• Prior teaching experience preferred but not required.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.

• One paid absence per class, per semester.
• Free access to the LLCC Fitness Center during available hours.
• Travel stipend for commutes exceeding twenty miles.
• Tuition waiver for adjunct faculty and dependents under 22 years.
• Eligibility to participate in the State Universities Retirement System (SURS) with qualifying assignments.
