Part Time Educator - Western Springs School District

Overview

Now hiring for recess positions working with the Western Springs School District. Right At School provides localized before‑and‑after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Our mission is to inspire a love of learning, support schools, and give families peace of mind.

Location:

Western Springs School District.

Pay: $15–$18 per hour (based on education and experience).

Program

Hours:

Monday–Friday, 11:15 am–12:45 pm. Candidates must be available all five days for one or both shifts. Partial shifts are not accommodated.

Duration: 2026‑2027 school year.

• Lead daily program meetings: review goals, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and maintain team accountability.
• Plan and facilitate daily activities: prepare activities and curriculum that align with program objectives, and lead structured fitness, activities, and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
• Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to create a safe and nurturing environment.
• Prioritize safety: monitor the environment, address hazards, and follow safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and observations.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

• Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills.
• Excellent team player.
• At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed.

• Meet state‑specific requirements.
• First Aid and CPR certification (in‑person).
• Clear tuberculosis test.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Proof of high school diploma or GED required.
