Adjunct Sonography Instructor

Lincoln Land Community College is looking for qualified part‑time instructors to teach sonography courses at our main campus in Springfield for both day and evening classes. This position requires didactic and lab instruction per program needs in adult echocardiography

As an Adjunct Faculty member at LLCC , you will receive one paid absence per class, per semester; free access to the LLCC Fitness Center (during available hours); a travel stipend if commuting more than twenty miles to campus; and a tuition waiver benefit for adjunct faculty and their dependents under the age of 22. Adjuncts with qualifying assignments also participate in the State Universities Retirement System ( SURS ).

Position Requirements

Qualified candidates must possess current professional ARDMS registry credentials in adult echocardiography, a minimum of two years of full-time occupational experience as a sonographer (preferably within the last three years) and demonstrated scanning competencies in adult echocardiography. Candidates must also hold a bachelor’s or associate degree in the teaching field, or an equivalent combination of related education and experience. Teaching experience in the discipline is preferred, and credentials must align with the required instructional topics.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
