The ideal candidate will reside within a one-hour commute of one of our St. Louis MO area office locations and be looking to deepen their SUE knowledge and experience while dividing their time between fieldwork, including exposure to diverse weather conditions with physical activity, and office tasks which may include data analysis, report writing, and technical drawing preparation.

• Assist in the collection, interpretation, and analysis of data related to underground utilities using geophysical and survey equipment.
• Produce utility maps and drawings using AutoCAD, Microstation, and GIS systems.
• Perform QA/QC on outputs.
• Support the preparation of SUE work plans and reports for civil engineering projects.
• Communicate and collaborate with coworkers, clients, and utility representatives.
• Adhere to safety protocols.

• Education:
  
  Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
• Licensure:
  Passed FE exam or will within the first 6 months of employment.
• Experience:
  
  0-2 years of experience in civil engineering, focused on subsurface utility engineering (SUE) or utility design.
• Software:
  Microsoft Office Suite, CAD and/or GIS tools (ArcGIS, QGIS, AutoCAD, Microstation), ability to quickly learn and understand new software.
• Knowledge:
  Familiarity with civil engineering plans, record drawings, asbuilts, SUE concepts, and utility locating methods.
• Travel:
  Able to travel and work nights/weekends as project schedules require.
• Safety:
  Valid driver's license with insurable driving record; able to pass background check, preemployment and random drug screens; able to walk equivalent of several miles daily and lift up to 80lbs.

Salary range $30.00 - $32.00 per hour determined by education, experience, licensure, and knowledge/skills/abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
