Design EngineerResponsible for developing and testing unique designs for products.
Responsibilities- Lead development of new products/components and enhancements of existing product offerings
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch
- Participate in the creation and modification of prototypes
- Directly interface with customers for project status, design proposals, information collection, and functional assistance
- Prepare and present technical reports to team members and management
- Design products & components using CAD & other engineering software
- Analyze and interpret technical data to ensure designs meet standards and requirements
- Develop and execute engineering test plans for new product qualification
- Support sustaining engineering efforts on current product lines
- Support engineering documentation procedures which include ECRs and new spec releases
- Analyze and disposition first‑piece inspection reports & PPAPs
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 7+ years of experience in product design and development
- Proficiency in CAD software such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar tools
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Technical background or experience with motor component design (AC, DC, BLDC) and gearbox component design (gears, shafts, bearings, castings)
- Experience with product testing and evaluation
- Ability to create and/or work with product performance specifications
- Understanding of relevant manufacturing processes
- Experience with DFMEA’s and failure analysis
- This position may require visits to customer facilities for product evaluation, troubleshooting, progress discussions, proposals, and general customer support.
