Responsibilities
  • Assist in defining project scopes, budgets, schedules, and deliverables for roadway design projects.
  • Perform roadway design for Design-Bid-Build and/or Alternative Delivery projects for intersections, arterials, expressways, interstates, and interchanges using DOT or applicable standards and CAD tools (Micro Station, Open Roads).
  • Develop detailed construction drawings, specifications, and design reports.
  • Conduct geometric design including alignments, cross sections, and pavement design.
  • Ensure compliance with Arcadis practices, client policies, and industry standards through quality control and technical reviews.
  • Support project managers with client coordination, progress monitoring, and project documentation.
  • Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate design solutions and manage expectations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (transportation, drainage, structures, utilities) to integrate design components.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and interns.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • Minimum of 6 years of roadway design experience, including DOT projects.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure with the ability to obtain MS PE licensure within 6 months.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Micro Station and Open Roads.
  • Familiarity with DOT design standards and policies.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to new challenges.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, including presentations and managing expectations.

The salary range for this position is $75,240 - $112,860. Actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
