Overview
Design and deliver complex bridge infrastructure projects while shaping the future growth of a thriving transportation practice.
Responsibilities- Provide technical leadership and manage project delivery of bridge and transportation infrastructure projects.
- Mentor staff and support expansion efforts throughout Illinois and surrounding markets.
- Lead design, inspection, rehabilitation, and construction of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and related structures.
- Coordinate with clients, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with Illinois DOT standards and local regulations.
- Utilize Micro Station, Open Bridge Designer, Bentley platforms, or similar bridge design software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required;
Structural Engineering (SE) license preferred. - 8–15+ years of bridge engineering and transportation structure design experience.
- Strong experience with IDOT bridge projects and Illinois transportation standards.
- Proficiency designing steel, reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, and related bridge structures.
- Experience with bridge inspections, rehabilitation projects, culverts, retaining walls, and other transportation infrastructure.
- Proven project management, technical leadership, and client coordination capabilities.
- Competitive salary range: $120,000 – $175,000 per year.
