Senior Project Manager – Aviation (Architecture, Construction)

STV is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager – Aviation (Architecture, Construction) to join our national aviation team. This position may assist aviation clients throughout the country who are in need of our assistance with aviation projects. The role must be within a reasonable commute to a major airline hub that could include AUS, DFW, IAH, ATL, EWR, ORD, LGA, SAT, BWI, Dulles, RDU.

The Senior Project Manager’s overall objective is to build and maintain a positive client relationship, while achieving or exceeding the estimated profit margin for projects.

• Organizes cross‑functional activities for coordination of project activities, ensuring completion of project deliverables, schedule, and budget.
• Manages and directs the development of proposals, project initiation, execution/control, and closeout for planning, Environmental Impact Statements, design, and/or construction projects. Responsible for project budgets, extra work requests, and invoicing.
• Participates in or leads project‑specific marketing, proposal preparation, and presentations for successful project selection.
• Plans complete project execution and develops the project manual.
• Schedules and monitors manpower requirements against the project budget and spending performance, including managing activities related to scope, schedule, cost, cash flow, quality, communications, coordination, manpower, resources, procurement, and risk to optimize client service and fiscal responsibility.
• Establishes a contractor‑client liaison network to keep interested parties informed of project planning, start date, and work and budget progress.
• Monitors the project from initiation through delivery, updating project manpower as needed.
• Forms a project work team that meets regularly to coordinate responsibility for assignment and execution of tasks according to schedule.
• Submits documents to federal, state, and local authorities for code compliance review and submits documentation for required permits.
• Holds regularly scheduled project progress meetings to review that the project contract’s terms, conditions, and specifications are being met.
• Ensures project personnel adhere to federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies, with timely intervention and resolution regarding manpower, equipment, materials, and quality procedures.
• May select, supervise, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operation of the function.
