Job SummaryACCO Brands is seeking a Engineering Technician to join the Product Development team. You will be working with the Integrated OEM Solutions Group, in tandem with ACCO Brands' print engine partners such as Canon, Xerox, Ricoh, and Konica Minolta. This important and critical role will provide a diverse opportunity to carry out lab work, technical tasks and support engineers when working on electromechanical products made for high profile customers and their international engineering teams.
This position offers a chance to join an engineering-focused department that drives ACCO Brands' growth and profitability. This is a full-time, office-based role.
- Testing and Validation:
Run product and prototype validation tests; conduct experiments; troubleshoot prototypes and machines; use specialist tools for data collection. - Technical Support:
Assemble, update and repair test machines; assist with service escalations; support engineers during development. - Documentation:
Use CAD software for basic modelling and drawings; write engineering change orders, technical bulletins, and test reports. - Inventory and Lab Management:
Inspect and reorder materials; maintain lab equipment. - Collaboration:
Work with engineers and other team members to refine designs, solve problems, and ensure project success.
- High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in Engineering Technology, Math, or Science preferred.
- 2+ years in a technical or lab environment.
- Electromechanical/electronic repair and fabrication experience.
- 3D modelling and basic drawing creation. Solid Works software program knowledge preferred.
- Competent with Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong organizational, teamwork and time management skills.
- Understands and applies health and safety best practices.
- Ability to travel internationally, if required.
$27.00 - $31.00/Hour
