As an Avionics Technician, you will troubleshoot and repair avionics systems that are malfunctioning in customer aircraft.
What You’ll Do- Install, troubleshoot, and repair avionics systems, including FMS, Satcom, radar, autopilot, communications, navigation, and IFE systems.
- Perform electrical/avionics installations, including routing and connecting wiring, aligning components, and fabricating wiring harnesses.
- Conduct system testing, continuity checks, and assist in complex electrical troubleshooting.
- Document all work accurately and adhere to FAA, manufacturer, and industry standards.
- Operate hand/power tools and electrical test equipment, following proper safety and procedural guidelines.
- Maintain a professional appearance and communication skills to foster positive customer relationships.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Formal avionics systems and electronics education/training.
- Minimum 1‑3 years of related avionics experience.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time (8+ hours), lift 50 pounds unassisted, walk, bend, stretch, and climb ladders to service aircraft.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Maintenance experience with Falcon, Lear, Challenger, Embraer, Cessna, and/or Hawker airframes.
- Knowledge of power sources, bonding and grounding techniques.
- Knowledge of both electrical and electronic theories, and ability to understand and follow wiring diagrams.
- Analytical skills to perform complex mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent hand‑to‑eye coordination.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal skills to interface with customers and employees.
- Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License and FCC Repairmen License are preferred.
- Ability to travel to customer locations or other Standard Aero facilities.
