As a Day of Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for working independently and collaboratively to provide excellence and keep the event on track.
Job Duties:We are looking to add Assistants & Lead Coordinators to our team!
Will be responsible for managing the timeline and keeping the event on track, assisting the couple and bridal party, assist with ceremony and reception setup and handling any ad‑hoc tasks throughout the day with ease.
Requirements:- 3+ years of event management experience required (lead)
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to follow written event details and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and remain calm in crisis and high stress situations.
- Be able to lift 20lbs.
- Be able to remain on feet for extended periods of time.
- Reliable transportation to and from venue.
We’d like our team to represent a respectable and simplified look that “blends” into the event. The attire for the day of an event is all black, preferably a black dress, or a black skirt that is no more than 3" above the knee.
We require black flats, or something that you can be comfortable in for several hours spent on your feet (no flip flops, gym shoes or heels allowed).
Job Type: Contract
Schedule:- This is part time position where working hours may vary on event days as scheduled.
- Typical shift is 6-8 hours at location*
- Chicagoland area
- Event management: 3 years (Required for Lead)
- Customer service: 3 year (Preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree, or a combination of education and applicable experience, is preferred
- Experience in events, office or business management, communications, project management
- “Hands‑on" and collaborative leadership style
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and team player
- Ability to maintain physical stamina and positive mental attitude
- Ability to deal effectively with guests and vendors
- Reliable transportation is required
