Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Investment Operations Manager, the Investment Operations Accountant I will perform accounting and auditing duties related to investment activity which is required in the management of master trustee and external investment manager transactional reporting. The Investment Operations Accountant I is responsible primarily for data processing and document retention work for the Investment Accounting team. This position contributes to higher level work such as accounting analytics, strategic planning, and compliance.
This role is level one in the three-level job family that reports to the Investment Operations Manager.
- Maintain Audit Required Documentation as necessary.
- Receive, deposit, and reconcile Security Litigation Proceeds.
- Balance and verify transactional activity from Plan Accounting.
- Balance and verify transactional activity from Master Trustee.
- Receive and record private markets transactional activity.
- Maintenance of investment custody accounts.
- Reconcile private markets transactional activity with asset class consultants.
- Contribute to department work related to compliance, accounting analytics, and strategic planning/development.
Skills and Abilities

- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, business administration, or related field. Four years of relevant experience may supplement a bachelor’s degree.
- One (1) year of working or volunteer experience preferably related to accounting, auditing, or financial analysis. Master’s degree may supplement this requirement.
- CPA certification or candidacy preferred.

Compensation will be determined based on the qualifications and experience of each candidate.
