Assistant Controller

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Controller to join a fast-paced finance organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a complex, multi-entity environment and is passionate about mentoring and developing a team. This is a newly created role as part of their succession planning strategy, offering strong growth and leadership development opportunities in the near term.

Reporting to the Controller, this individual will play a key role in managing the general ledger, overseeing the consolidation of multiple entities, and leading critical components of the month‑end close and financial reporting processes.

• Lead and manage a corporate accounting team, while collaborating cross‑functionally with accounts payable, treasury, payroll, and FP&A teams
• Oversee the consolidation of multiple entities, including intercompany transactions, capital activity, and investment‑related accounting
• Manage and improve the month‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts across the organization
• Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization to increase efficiency and reduce risk
• Partner with business unit accounting teams to ensure consistent and accurate close processes
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to support financial statement integrity
• Coordinate and manage the year‑end audit process with external auditors
• Mentor and develop accounting staff to build a high‑performing team
• Evaluate and optimize accounting systems and tools to support scalable financial operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA required)
• 7+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a complex, multi‑entity environment
• Strong experience with month‑end close and financial consolidations
• Solid understanding of US GAAP; exposure to SEC reporting is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices
