ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Commercial / Consumer / Agricultural Loan Processor is responsible for preparing and processing loan documentation for commercial, consumer, and agricultural loan requests in accordance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position works closely with lenders and Relationship Manager Associates (RMAs) to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and properly documented prior to closing and booking.

You will:

  • Prepare loan documentation for commercial, consumer, and agricultural loan requests using approved documentation systems and forms.
  • Review approved loan requests to ensure all required information, approvals, and supporting documentation are complete prior to documentation preparation.
  • Coordinate internally with lenders, Relationship Manager Associates, appraisal vendors, title companies, attorneys, and other third parties as needed to facilitate loan closings.
  • Verify collateral documentation, insurance coverage, lien perfection requirements, and other closing conditions.
  • Ensure loan documentation complies with bank policy, regulatory requirements, and underwriting approvals.
  • Prepare, review, and organize loan closing packages for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with loan renewals, modifications, extensions, and maintenance requests.
  • Track outstanding items and documentation exceptions and communicate status updates to lenders and RMAs.
  • Maintain organized electronic and physical loan files in accordance with record retention standards.
  • Work closely with Loan Accounting and Loan Operations staff to ensure timely and accurate loan boarding and funding.
  • Support internal and external audits, loan reviews, and examinations by providing requested documentation and information.
  • Maintain knowledge of lending regulations, documentation requirements, and bank procedures related to commercial, consumer, and agricultural lending.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
  • This is an on‑site position working 40 hours per week, working Monday - Friday.

    Work is done in a typical office environment with moderate noise levels and temperatures. Requires the ability to operate all types of typical electronic office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines and scanners. Primarily a sedentary position, but requires occasional standing, walking, lifting, carrying, bending, kneeling, stretching, stooping and manual dexterity using hands and fingers (for computer keyboard operation). Requires ability for extensive reading and viewing of paper documents and computer screens.

    REQUIREMENTS
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in loan processing, loan operations, documentation preparation, or related banking experience preferred.
    • Experience with commercial, agricultural, and consumer loan documentation strongly preferred.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
    • Strong understanding of loan documentation and collateral requirements.
    • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements related to lending.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with lenders, RMAs, and operations staff.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and banking software systems.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
