Public Sector Advisory Intern – Strategy & Operations

• Gain experience through hands‑on work on public sector client engagements
• Learn and execute meaningful work engagements with business impact
• Participate in intern orientation and training and development programs
• Perform internal control risk, operations, and organizational reviews
• Collaborate with Staff, Seniors, Managers, and Partners
• Engage directly with public sector clients, including municipal governments, school districts, and public power agencies
• Build professional relationships and experience
• Demonstrate performance and ability to join Baker Tilly as a full‑time consultant

• Enrolled in a Master of Public Policy or Master of Public Administration program, preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without employer-sponsored visa sponsorship, now or in the future
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Bachelor's degree in finance, Public Policy, Accounting, or a related business major
• Resume and unofficial transcript(s) required as part of the application process
• Relevant internship, work experience and/or involvement with a professional organization desired
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of client personnel
• Demonstrated time management, communication, interpersonal, relationship building, collaboration, and problem‑solving skills
• Organizational and analytical skills, initiative, and adaptability
• Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

Demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills while effectively collaborating with diverse teams and public sector clients. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and capable of managing time and building professional relationships.
