The Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is seeking a highly motivated professional to serve as the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Manager within the Bureau of Human Resources This position leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of statewide diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives; supports inclusive recruitment strategies; and provides expert guidance to IDPH programs on culturally competent practices that strengthen services to diverse and underserved communities.
The role manages internal DEI programs, represents the agency at meetings and outreach events, supervises assigned staff, coordinates legislative and policy activity related to diversity efforts, and serves as a key resource in advancing policies and strategies that promote an inclusive workplace.
