LocationSpringfield Residential - 2200 Lake Victoria Dr, Springfield, IL 62703
Responsibilities- Residential Center - Adult Male and Female population
- Work with CADC, LPC or LSW level counselors in delivering substance use treatment
- Prepare and implement comprehensive assessments and individualized, developmentally appropriate treatment plans
- Provide individual and group counseling and educational programs in accordance with treatment plans
- Document treatment and discharge plans, progress notes, and related records
- Perform case management and contribute to client care monitoring
- Handle a caseload that may include complex cases requiring intensive services
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education/experience; minimum 100 hours documented clinical training in counseling theory and practice
- Current certification as a substance abuse counselor (CADC) or higher licensure (LPC, LSW) in state of hire
- Minimum 2 years of experience in substance abuse or mental health counseling
- Related work experience with program-specific population (adolescent/adult) and residential treatment setting
- Ability to walk and move about the facilities for up to two hours at a time
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects
- Ability to use a keyboard and monitor to enter and retrieve information
- Ability to record, proofread and check documents for accuracy
- Ability to respond to telephones, hear alarms and unusual noises
- Must be at least 21 years of age to operate a Gateway vehicle
Compensation (based on experience and credentials): Range begins at $25.64 - $32.28 per hour. Gateway Foundation conducts annual reviews including merit increases.
