Physical Therapist – Part‑time (20 hours per week)

Physical Therapists plan and execute rehabilitation programs to help patients return to a higher level of physical function. They use therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re‑education, modalities, gait training, and manual techniques, while communicating effectively and providing compassionate care.

Responsibilities
  • Apply knowledge of anatomy, exercise physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, neuroscience, and pharmacology.
  • Assist other facility staff members as needed to provide care and maintain a clean, orderly environment for rehabilitation and physical therapy.
  • Develop a plan for patients following completion of their Plan of Care, including appropriate home exercise programs and discharge instructions.
  • Create patient‑specific Plans of Care based on initial and ongoing evaluations, setting short‑ and long‑term goals and ensuring collaboration with other staff.
  • Document patient progress according to approved medical documentation and facility procedures.
  • Evaluate mobility, strength, and current level of function, setting realistic goals and scaling them to patient abilities.
  • Implement the Plan of Care on a consistent schedule, adjusting the schedule and plan as patient progress warrants.
  • Maintain open communication between therapy staff, department staff, and referral sources involved in patient care.
  • Maintain patient records, ensuring certifications and authorizations comply with third‑party payer requirements.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops, professional publications, and continuing education.
  • Perform initial and ongoing physical therapy evaluations following APTA standards of practice and state regulations.
  • Supervise physical therapy assistants as appropriate.
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) – required.
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Illinois, with a current BLS or CPR certification (within 90 days of hire).
  • Strong experience administering a wide range of physical therapy techniques.
Compensation & Benefits

Hourly pay: 39.12 – 60.64, depending on experience. Sign‑on bonus: 5,000.
