Job Summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist for a 13‑week travel assignment at a Level I Trauma, Magnet‑designated acute care hospital in Springfield, Illinois. The role involves performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures on middle and older adult patients.

  36 hours per week (3×12‑hour day shifts, 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM)

• Work will include 2–3 weekends per contract, on‑call as needed, and floating within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate.

• Work in a cardiac cath lab performing both diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, IABP placement/removal, PCI, PTCA, rotablader atherectomy, and scrub procedures.
• Set up equipment, recognize life‑threatening arrhythmias, maintain isolation precautions, and uphold sterile technique.
• Chart in Cerner EMR.

• Minimum 1 year of cath lab experience, including diagnostic and interventional settings.
• Accredited certifications: active ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS (AHA and Red Cross accepted; RQI AHA cards are not). Active professional license if applicable.
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR.
• SSN and DOB provided for background screening.
• Must be in Illinois at least 3 business days before compliance hard deadline for fingerprinting.

• First‑time travelers welcome; local candidates accepted with no radius restriction.
• Former permanent or PRN employees of the Memorial Hospital System must have been away for at least 12 months.
• Candidates must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays.
• RTO requests of ≤5 days generally accommodated; >5 days require facility approval.
• Travel pairs not accepted.
• Scrubs are provided; free parking available on‑site with permit obtained during orientation.

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
