Full Time, Watseka, IL, USA. Salary: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour.

• Performs and records daily quality control and instrument maintenance.
• Performs procedures in chemistry, hematology, blood bank, urinalysis, serology, and microbiology.
• Recognizes and reports normal and abnormal patient values to physicians and nurses.
• Assists with the implementation of new testing procedures.
• Maintains the area to meet accrediting agency standards.
• Performs phlebotomies and collects specimens.
• Demonstrates competence with laboratory computer systems.
• Communicates results with physicians, nurses, and caregivers.
• Rotates in all laboratory services as needed.
• Minimizes duplication of testing and ensures instruments are maintained to prevent downtime.
• Uses equipment, tools, materials, and supplies appropriately.
• Ensures that procedural performance does not cause discomfort to patients.
• Obtains prompt and accurate test results to aid patient care.
• Performs laboratory assistant duties as needed.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

• Graduate of an approved, accredited medical technology program or equivalent; a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biological Science, or Medical Technology.
• Registration as a Medical Technologist or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, including phlebotomy.
• Strong communication and result‑interpretation skills.
