  • Oversee all aspects and functions of the Behavioral Health Clinic (BHC).
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, workflows, templates, and systems to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Lead continuous quality improvement efforts to enhance program effectiveness, staff performance, and client outcomes.
  • Develop and implement the BHC’s strategic plan to guide growth and service expansion.
Clinical Oversight & Service Delivery
  • Hire, train, and supervise BHC staff.
  • Provide clinical supervision and oversight to applicable staff, with an emphasis on documentation standards, strengths‑based care planning, trauma‑informed practices, and system navigation.
  • Review and approve assessments, treatment plans, and documentation (e.g., IM+CANS, progress notes) focusing on quality and funder‑related requirements.
  • Monitor service delivery to ensure timely referrals, follow‑ups, and consistent care coordination for children and families.
  • Supervise case management staff to ensure that client needs are assessed holistically across behavioral, social, educational, and medical domains.
  • Create and maintain onboarding workflows for new clients to ensure smooth and timely service initiation.
  • Lead interdisciplinary team meetings to foster collaboration, problem‑solving, and integrated service delivery.
  • Maintain a small clinical caseload and provide direct intervention as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations and agency standards through quality reviews.
  • Monitor billing practices and develop systems to support financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate with funders and lead efforts to meet and maintain accreditation requirements; support the clinic through audits, reviews, and compliance visits.
Community Engagement
  • Establish and maintain referral relationships through community outreach with Medicaid Managed Care Organizations, schools, social service agencies, developmental pediatricians, early intervention providers, psychologists, and other relevant partners.
  • Participate actively in Community Stakeholder Meetings to inform local systems and increase visibility of clinic services.

Qualifications Required Skills
  • Strong clinical skills and sound professional judgment
  • Proficiency in interpreting and approving clinical assessments (e.g., IM+CANS)
  • In‑depth knowledge of the Illinois developmental disabilities system
  • Familiarity with Medicaid, insurance policies, state behavioral health regulations, and accreditation standards
  • Skilled in developing and implementing policies, procedures, and workflows that meet both clinical and regulatory standards
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous quality improvement and program development
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to align clinical practices with program goals
  • Proven experience in leadership roles, with the ability to supervise multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with families, staff, funders, and external partners
  • Clear understanding of resources available to families and children in Illinois to reduce stress and improve quality of life
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Exhibits a high degree of autonomy, initiative, and follow‑through
  • Adaptable and solutions‑focused in evolving environments
Requirements
  • Valid state licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT
  • IM+CANS certification or ability to obtain certification prior to employment
  • Experience in human services settings, particularly in behavioral health or disability service
  • Strong skills in supervising staff or interns, with a focus on mentoring and professional development
  • Experience working with diverse populations and using culturally sensitive techniques
  • Familiarity with motivational interviewing principles is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
