Principal Training and Education Specialist – Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS)

Location:
Remote within the U.S. with up to 75% travel / seeking a candidate located near Chicago, IL to support our training facility.
The Principal Training and Education Specialist will deliver Robotic Assisted Surgery (RAS) technology training to surgeons, first assistants, and OR staff from a variety of surgical specialties aligned with the core strategy. This role will require up to 75% travel to enhance collaboration and ensure successful completion of projects.
You Will- Deliver training courses to Health Care Professionals (HCP) at designated training partner facilities
- Establish relationships with designated external training entities in targeted geographies
- Work with the marketing and sales training team in a creative, dependable, and flexible manner to improve existing training programs
- Support RAS System troubleshooting at the training center
- Manage training center logistics, inventory, and training calendars in conjunction with key stakeholders
- In conjunction with training center staff, maintain all capital equipment, including but not limited to the cleaning and reprocessing of instruments and accessories
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 11+ years of relevant experience in clinical training, medical device sales with training responsibilities, or clinical education
- Associate's Degree with 9+ years of relevant experience in clinical training, medical device sales with training responsibilities, or clinical education
- Baccalaureate Degree with 7+ years of relevant experience in clinical training, medical device sales with training responsibilities, or clinical education
- Bachelor’s degree in Clinical or Health Sciences, Nursing, Healthcare Management
- Strong background of clinical experience with ties to training healthcare professionals
- Experience in robotic surgery, capital equipment, or comparable advanced medical technology
- Proven experience training on complex clinical topics or technology
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to learn quickly in fast‑paced environments
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to operate both independently and collaboratively
- Solid understanding of surgical anatomy, OR workflows, and operating room protocol
- Exceptional presentation and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and effective training methodologies
- High emotional intelligence and a professional, solutions‑oriented work style
- Commitment to continuous learning and personal development
- Highly process‑driven with strong attention to detail
- Safety‑focused with a commitment to following protocol
For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.
