Medical Receptionist, Healthcare Administration

This is a 40 hour per week position.
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:00 pm dependent on the position and patient needs.
Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.

Responsibilities:Serve as the first point of contact for our patients by answering and managing incoming telephone calls in an enthusiastic, courteous, and professional manner. You will schedule patient appointments, accurately enter all required information into our computer system, and direct calls to the appropriate personnel as needed. This role works closely with referring physician offices and internal staff to ensure patient needs are addressed promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities include gathering and entering insurance and demographic information, assisting with rescheduling or canceling appointments, and supporting callers with any follow-up needs. While duties may vary slightly by shift or assigned area, the following overview reflects the essential functions of this position.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two years minimum experience in customer service
- Call Center or Patient Scheduling experience preferred

- Strong communication and customer service skills; ability to interact professionally with patients, staff, physicians, and leadership
- Excellent computer and data entry capabilities
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in a fast-paced setting
- Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
- Confident decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks at once
- Empathy and understanding of patient needs
- Knowledge of insurance plans is helpful but can be trained
