Respiratory Therapist - Weekend Option

Requires an RCP license. Requires current BLS card.

Must have good public relation skills and interact with people well. Good computer skills are necessary. Previous Respiratory Therapy experience preferred. Excellent motivation skills. Must be able to assist other staff when problems and/or questions arise. Must be able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays. Must maintain patient confidentiality and information per policy and procedures. Must be dependable, trustworthy, and flexible.

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist, Weekend Option

Employment Type: Full-time (36 hours per week)

Shift: 12-hour shifts, 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, plus on-call those nights

Wage Range: $24.48 - $35.25 per hour

Hamilton Memorial Hospital District has an immediate need for a full-time Respiratory Therapist. At HMHD our mission is to enhance the delivery of healthcare to our community and the surrounding area by providing accessible quality healthcare services. HMHD utilizes the premier electronic medical record system EPIC with My Chart as an amenity for patients and staff.

• Performs all respiratory procedures per physician’s orders.
• Maintains patent airways and performs appropriate bronchial hygiene techniques.
• Charts and documents procedures according to department policy.
• Performs necessary oxygen rounds and replaces supplies as needed.
• Disassembles, cleans and re-assembles Respiratory Therapy equipment.
