As an Activity Director at Axiom Healthcare of Flora, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive program of activities designed to meet the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of each resident. If you are passionate about creating engaging and enriching experiences for seniors.

• Develop and plan activities that promote socialization, spiritual growth, and community interaction, including group social activities, spiritual programs, and opportunities for resident involvement in planning and implementation
• Prepare, plan, and coordinate a monthly calendar of activities that cater to the interests and needs of each resident
• Oversee Activity Aides, train volunteers, and assess resident needs to develop resident activity goals for the written care plan
• Document resident participation and progress notes, and review resident goals and progress reports
• Participate in care plan meetings, QAPI, and department head meetings as necessary
• Develop and manage the activity budget, including creatively sourcing funds
• Foster relationships with family members and community partners to support the Activity department

• High School Diploma or its equivalent
• Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors
• 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
