American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital, requiring at least 1 year of cath lab experience and ARRT or RCIS certification.

• Acute care hospital setting with 562 staffed beds
• Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab unit
• 4x12 or 3x12 day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• Will work 2-3 weekends per contract
• On-call required as needed, rotating with staff and agency, with a dedicated call team
• No floating required outside of scope
• Uses Cerner charting system
• 13-26 week assignment length, flexible

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required (ARRT-R preferred); license required if applicable
• AHA and Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
• Active Illinois license required at time of submission
• Cerner charting experience required
• Experience in Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab settings required
• Proficiency in cardiac implant closure device, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations (adult), IABP placement/removal, left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, and rotablator atherectomy required
• Skilled in equipment setup, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulating, and sterile field scrubbing required
• Experience with isolation precautions and PPE required
• Must work with middle and older adult patient populations

• Facility is a Level I trauma center and Magnet‑designated hospital
• Scrubs provided
• Free parking with permit obtained during orientation
• First‑time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous perm or PRN employees must be separated from the facility for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days
• Must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities
