The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats patients of all ages with rehabilitative needs related to orthopedic, neurological, developmental, cognitive, and functional conditions caused by injury, illness, disease, or aging.

• Develops individualized care plans incorporating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge strategies.
• Performs patient assessments, including examinations and objective testing for range of motion, strength, and functional tasks.
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare team members effectively.
• Monitors and documents care, adjusting plans based on patient response and evidence-based practices.
• Demonstrates safe body mechanics and performs patient transfers as needed.
• Uses support personnel appropriately, providing feedback and supervision.
• Completes treatments such as therapeutic ultrasound and fluidotherapy and communicates progress to providers.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) with licensure from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to perform clinical evaluations, patient transfers, and therapeutic procedures.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient education skills.
