QualificationsThe Clinical Services Manager coordinates and oversees the delivery of hospital clinical services and case management services and provides clinical supervision, coordination and leadership to staff under the direction of the Director of Clinical Services & Regulatory Compliance. The Clinical Services Manager is responsible for the maintenance of the clinical services standards of practice, and provides assistance with quality initiatives, clinical planning and program coordination with other hospital departments.
This position will consult with all services to ensure the provision of an effective treatment plan for all patients, oversees the response to requests for services and interfaces with managed care organizations, external reviewers and other payers.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provides individual and group supervision to staff to ensure that high quality clinical services are provided to patients.
- Ensures clinical records are accurate, timely and meet regulatory requirements.
- Provides clinical oversight of treatment planning and crisis management of patients.
- Provides social work services including evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning & case management to patients & their families as needed.
- Provides direction and assists with management of difficult and/or complex patient discharge plans.
- Provides ongoing clinical supervision, including licensure-required supervision to clinical staff.
- Develops policies and procedures to support social work, utilization review and recreational therapy and case management initiatives, quality outcomes and related performance improvement activities.
