Salary Ranges:

Bachelor's Level = $50,000-$56,000 annually (based on experience)

Master's Level = $57,000-$65,000 annually (based on experience)

SUMMARY

Serves as a member of the Illinois Crisis Prevention Network, providing guidance, direction and consultation for persons with developmental disabilities who are experiencing stressors associated with emotional, behavioral, and/or social disorders that have not been effectively addressed by previous treatment interventions. In conjunction with other team members, develops and implements effective action plans to ensure the individual remains in his/her current placement.

WHAT

YOU WILL DO Clinical Support/Clinical Fieldwork (75%)
  • Responds to assigned referrals within the designated time period of 24 hours for first contact and 72 hours for first observation
  • Maintains the prescribed minimum standard of care for assigned cases
  • Provides or models direct crisis services for persons served
  • Completes all required documentation, including but not limited to intake documents, service summaries, action plans, and case closure forms according to designated standards
  • In conjunction with the ICPN Clinical Supervisor and other team members, analyzes and reviews available data to determine level of need and course of treatment;
    Assesses underlying mental health conditions and their effect on behavior;
    Assists in recording data concerning the individual’s response to treatment
  • Conducts on-site observations in family homes, community providers, etc. and environmental reviews to determine factors in the environment that may have an impact on the individual’s responses
  • Works closely with community agencies, schools, and families to ensure training in and implementation of necessary support strategies in the attempt to generalize these strategies from one setting to another
  • Participates in multidisciplinary team meetings, provider staff meetings, and additional meetings as requested in support of the individual in crisis and their clinical/medical needs
  • Under the guidance and direction of the Clinical Supervisor, collates data concerning adherence to the contract requirements, individual, family and provider satisfaction survey information. In addition, will collate individual specific data regarding response to behavior intervention, baseline data, etc.
  • Maintains compliance with all applicable Department of Human Services (DHS) regulations and licensure requirements if applicable
  • Keeps an accurate and thorough medical record for each person served
Training & Professional Development (15%)
  • Implements and provides training for family and/or providers in the established behavioral strategies and adaptive skills recommendations. Ensures he/she effectively communicates all issues and concerns to the Clinical Supervisor & Director
  • As assigned, creates and delivers trainings for ICPN stakeholders
  • Participates in ICPN-sanctioned trainings
  • Provides educational training concerning basic principles of behavior analysis, overview of intellectual/developmental disabilities and mental illness, de-escalation, etc.
  • Participates in on-going professional development and continuing education through participation in workshops and conferences
Other (10%)
  • Participates in special projects and/or clinical opportunities for collaboration, research, and development
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
