Certifications: BLS required; ACLS preferred

Must-Have:

• Must be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance requirements.
• Call rotation starting end of shift on Friday until Monday morning.
• Clinical experience in Acute Inpatient OR, CVOR, and Outpatient OR.
• Surgical case experience in cardiac, general, thoracic, and vascular procedures.
• Endoscopic procedure experience including bronchoscopy, EGD, and laparoscopic cases.
• Trauma experience, including amputations and gunshot/stab wounds.
• Equipment experience with case carts, drills, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources.
• Professional knowledge of aseptic technique, isolation precautions, and laser safety.
• Ability to float within the facility as needed.

Description:

The role requires a Surgical First Assistant with experience in cardiovascular surgery.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with various surgical procedures.

The clinician will assist during operations and manage the surgical environment.

Daily workload includes approximately 8 surgical cases.

Call responsibilities involve being on call 1-2 times per week and every 3-4 weekends.

Professional conduct and effective teamwork are essential in this role.

The candidate must have knowledge of current surgical techniques and technologies.

A commitment to patient care and safety is paramount in this position.

Candidates should be able to adapt to the dynamic nature of the surgical environment.
