Travel Cath Lab​/EP Technologist - EP Lab

American Traveler is hiring an EP Lab Technologist with 5+ years of electrophysiology experience for a Level I trauma, Magnet-designated acute care hospital.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in EP diagnostics, ablations, and all cardiac devices
• BLS required; ACLS, ARRT R, and CCI RCES preferred
• Level I trauma center and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with EP studies, cardiac mapping, arrhythmia induction, cardioversion, and pacemaker/AICD insertion
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, and Watchman
• Proficiency with vascular closure systems (Perclose, Star Close)
• AHA or Red Cross certifications accepted; RQI cards not accepted
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• License required if applicable
• First-time travelers accepted if other experience requirements are met

• Electrophysiology Lab and Cardiac Cath Lab setting within an acute care hospital
• 1:1 patient ratio
• 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday with rotating Wednesday or Friday off
• Weekends as needed
• Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities as needed
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Uses fluoroscopy, Siemens, and ultrasound equipment
• Competency running Cardo Micropace required
• Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, access site prep, sterile field maintenance, hemodynamic monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
• Scrub color must be any solid color
• Free parking permit provided; form completed during orientation
• Day 1 orientation is virtual and at-home, with required modules completed by 4:00 PM CST
• Up to 16 hours of annual compliance modules are non-billable
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• Previous permanent or PRN employees of the facility must be separated for at least 12 months before returning as a traveler
• RTO ideally no more than 5 days; requests beyond that require facility approval
• Candidates must work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Travel pairs are not accepted
