Job Overview

We are seeking a Housekeeper for The Midland Hotel in Chicago to ensure a clean, welcoming environment for guests. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with a team.

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is positive.
• Work as a team to maintain resort/hotel cleanliness.
• Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked.
• Use equipment, supplies, and guest amenities correctly.
• Perform thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas.
• Change and inspect linens and towels daily following Green Program standards.
• Adhere to safety standards and report hazards (e.g., broken glass, electrical cords, leaks, locks).
• Respect guests’ property at all times.
• Maintain equipment responsibly.
• Report to work on time and follow schedule for accurate time records.
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co‑workers.
• Perform other related duties as requested by Floor Supervisor.

• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Strong time‑management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for extended periods.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Physical capability to move, traverse, and navigate to reach corners, high places, and navigate carts up to 100 lbs in tight spaces.
• Lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs.

$20.03 – $26.50 per hour (actual compensation varies with skill set, experience, certifications and location).
