This position is based in Springfield (Illinois) and will also provide virtual HR support to the Mobile (Alabama) office with some on-site support,
not to exceed 15%.

Under the supervision of the Human Resources Director for North America, as our HR Generalist and primary point of contact for all HR matters, you’ll oversee the full scope of HR activities from recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and talent development.
In addition, you will support the local management and promote REEL’s established health and safety programs to ensure a safe working environment.
What you’ll be doing- Talent Acquisition / Workforce Planning
Manage the staffing, pre-employment, and onboarding process for new employees in Springfield and Mobile - Talent Development
Manage the training process and system for both sites
Support HR Talent processes such as onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, talent review and succession planning - Compensation And Benefits
Assist with all annual wage increase actions
Conduct open enrollment sessions to review benefit updates
Manage the leave of absences and disability cases - Employee Engagement
Work closely with the management to promote a positive work culture
Investigate complaints and conduct all necessary follow up as appropriate - HR Compliance
Ensure all administrative HR functions comply with federal, state and local employment laws - Occupational Health And Safety
Conduct health and safety onboarding sessions
Deploy OHS prevention programs and action plans
Analyze risks in the work environment and make recommendations
Carry out safety observations, accident investigations and analyses and monitor preventive/corrective measures
Manage workplace accident files for Springfield and Mobile
- Legal authorization to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, Organizational/Industrial Psychology, or Business Management.
- At least five (5) years of work experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a manufacturing and/or industrial environment.
- Professionalism, autonomy and excellent communication skills.
- Availability to travel to Mobile (AL) a few times a year (approximately 15%).
