Position: Support Staff Coordinator (CSE) 26-E-04

Job Description

The Support Staff Coordinator oversees and organizes the work of support staff assigned to the Child Support Enforcement bureau and reports to the Director of Human Resources. This role is responsible for assessing workloads, assigning tasks, allocating resources, coordinating staff activities, and monitoring time and attendance of support staff along with other responsibilities at the direction of the Director of Human Resources.

It is the responsibility of the Support Staff Coordinator to prepare and perform annual evaluations for all assigned support staff to provide feedback on the individual's work-related performance. The Support Staff Coordinator shall use discretionary judgment in determining if interim evaluations are warranted. All evaluations must be submitted to Human Resources in a timely manner.

This position also ensures that Child Support Enforcement offices and assigned managers have the resources they need to operate effectively. The Support Staff Coordinator implements office policies and procedures and may direct, transfer, counsel, discipline, or reprimand support staff as necessary. In collaboration with Child Support Managers and Human Resources, the Coordinator provides recommendations to executive management regarding personnel actions, including hiring, promotion, discipline, suspension, layoff, recall, reward, or termination.

The Support Staff Coordinator identifies training needs and organizes training activities for support staff.

Frequent in‑state travel is an essential function of this position.

Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor's degree in public or business administration or any related field and 3 years progressively responsible professional, and supervisory management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The position requires the ability to work in a confidential environment. Attendance and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public are essential functions of this position. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
