Job Overview
Client Services Specialist – HR Support
Responsibilities- Provide client support on HR matters, including wage and hour, leaves of absence, worker’s compensation, compliance with state and federal leave laws, and employee relations.
- Interpret client contracts and manage billable work, tracking time and reporting accurately.
- Serve as contact for clients and their employees for policy, benefits, and payroll compliance questions.
- Advise internal and external management of potential issues, recommend solutions, and ensure implementation.
- Build and maintain relationships with client representatives, employees, managers, and vendors for client satisfaction.
- Conduct HR assessments, prepare reports, and present findings to clients.
- Monitor the Compliance Department email, prioritize inquiries, and escalate sensitive matters.
- Resolve issues independently, coordinate parties, and maintain organized documentation.
- Develop, prepare, and deliver training content for webinars.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or equivalent education/experience.
- 8–10 years of professional HR experience focused on employment‑related compliance.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent punctuation, spelling, grammar, and attention to detail.
- Interpersonal skills and ability to work with a diverse workforce.
- Required:
PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP or equivalent. - Preferred:
Payroll or Benefits certifications such as FPC, CPP, CEBS.
- Microsoft Word (≤35 wpm), Excel (spreadsheets, formulas), PowerPoint (training curriculum), Outlook.
- Ability to learn HRIS, benefits and payroll systems.
- Quantitative skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, ratios.
- Effective written communication – proof‑reading, editing, report writing.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a work visa or sponsorship. Local travel and some overnight travel may be required.
CompensationBase pay: $50–$55 per hour. Variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus may be available based on performance.
