Full Life Cycle Recruiter – Food Manufacturing (On-Site | Chicagoland Area)
We are seeking an experienced Full Life Cycle Recruiter to join our team in the Chicagoland area (northern suburbs). This role will serve as a strategic talent partner supporting high-volume and professional hiring within a food manufacturing environment. During the first 90 days, the primary focus will be building talent pipelines and executing proactive sourcing strategies to ensure a strong slate of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
This position requires a recruiter with prior food manufacturing experience who understands the unique challenges of recruiting within production, maintenance, quality, engineering, supply chain, and leadership functions.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong relationship-building skills, and can influence hiring managers while delivering an exceptional candidate experience. This is an on-site role requiring close collaboration with operations leaders and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Partner closely with Talent Acquisition leadership to understand workforce needs and establish recruiting priorities.
- Develop recruiting strategies to support hourly, skilled trades, technical, and salaried positions.
- Conduct candidate screening and schedule interviews.
- Provide a best-in-class candidate experience.
- Spend approximately 60-70% of time sourcing passive and active candidates.
- Build pipelines for production leadership, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, warehouse, and operations roles.
- Utilize Linked In Recruiter, Indeed Resume, and industry-specific sourcing methods.
- Maintain applicant tracking systems and candidate records.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and company hiring policies.
- Support employer branding and community outreach initiatives.
- 3–7+ years of full life cycle recruiting experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated success recruiting hourly manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, quality, supply chain, and leadership positions.
- High-volume recruiting experience.
- Proven sourcing expertise and ability to identify passive talent.
- Strong interviewing, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience using ATS platforms and sourcing tools such as Linked In Recruiter, Indeed Resume, or similar technologies.
- Ability to work on-site in the Chicagoland area (northern suburbs).
