Position Summary

Riverbend is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support and strengthen a positive workplace culture for a large, community-focused workforce. This role is ideal for an emotionally intelligent HR professional who is strategic and hands‑on, with a passion for people. This will be demonstrated by your ability to build strong, supportive relationships with internal leaders and the Riverbend team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage full-cycle recruitment to attract and retain high-quality candidates
  • Support and implement professional development programs; track and analyze outcomes
  • Maintain and update job descriptions across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, employment laws, and Head Start requirements
  • Assist with employee performance evaluations and succession planning
  • Promote a positive, inclusive, and mission-aligned workplace culture
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3–5+ years of HR experience, preferably in a nonprofit or human services setting
  • Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance
  • Experience with recruiting, employee development, and performance management
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
