Responsibilities
  • Own the recruiting tech stack – adoption, configuration, integrations, and continuous evolution across Better Up’s current stack including Ashby, Linked In Recruiter, Zapier, Guide, Ezra, Slack, etc.
  • Work with the Head of Talent to develop and execute a strategic roadmap for recruiting operations
  • Optimize and enable team around recruiting systems (ATS, scheduling and sourcing tools, and Claude) to enhance recruiter effectiveness
  • Drive full adoption and best‑practice usage across all recruiting tools
  • Build and maintain integrations between Ashby, Slack, Guide, Claude and Zapier
  • Evaluate and recommend new tooling as the team scales – with a bias toward measurable ROI
  • Own data hygiene and ATS configuration to ensure clean, reportable pipeline data
  • Design recruiting workflows end‑to‑end with AI embedded where it provides genuine leverage
  • Partner with IT, Legal, and Info Sec to establish governance frameworks that enable responsible AI scaling across the recruiting function
  • Own the TA metrics framework: time‑to‑fill, funnel conversion, recruiter productivity, hiring manager satisfaction and candidate experience
  • Build and maintain pipeline dashboards in Ashby and connected AI tools
  • Surface actionable insights from recruiting data – recommendations, not just reports
  • Support headcount planning and forecasting with reliable, auditable data
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in talent operations, recruiting operations, or a closely related field
  • Demonstrated experience owning or administering an ATS (Ashby, Greenhouse, Lever, or equivalent) at an organizational level
  • Experience implementing AI tooling for recruiting teams
  • Hands‑on experience building and maintaining integrations between HR/TA tools using automation platforms (Zapier, Make, or similar)
  • Proficiency with data analysis and reporting – experience building and interpreting recruiting metrics dashboards independently
  • Working knowledge of LLM APIs, prompt engineering, or AI‑augmented workflows in a professional context
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical workflows into clear guidance for non‑technical stakeholders
  • 2+ years as a full‑cycle recruiter or sourcer – firsthand experience with workflow pain points
  • Deep understanding of great candidate experience requirements
  • Comfortable owning process design, not just executing within it
  • Enough recruiting context to translate hiring manager frustration into a workflow fix without a translator in the room
  • Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and AI‑augmented workflows
  • Familiarity with recruiting systems including Ashby, Guide, Ezra, Linked In, etc.
  • Systems thinker – considers data flows, failure states, and iteration loops
  • Anticipates industry‑shifting AI capabilities and positions Better Up to leverage them ahead of competitors
  • Leads enterprise‑wide AI transformation initiatives that span multiple functions and business units
  • Proven maker mindset – ship small, instrument what you build, iterate based on real usage
  • Built point solutions before, knowing difference between quick win and future liability
  • Approach problems user‑first: recruiter experience and candidate experience equally in scope
  • Ready to prototype solutions mentally from problem statements
Benefits
  • Access to Better Up coaching for you and a friend or family member
  • A competitive compensation plan with opportunity for advancement
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Flexible paid time off
  • All federal/statutory holidays observed
  • 4 Better Up Inner Workdays
  • 5 Volunteer Days to give back
  • Learning and Development stipend
  • Company‑wide Summer & Winter breaks
  • Year‑round charitable contribution of your choice on behalf of Better Up
  • 401(k) self‑contribution
