Aboutthe Position
Reporting to the Senior Director of Cloud and Infrastructure, the Manager of Backup and Disaster Recovery will be a hands‑on contributor responsible for overseeing and managing the IT organization’s backup and disaster recovery (DR) technology and processes. This role involves close collaboration with various applications, infrastructure, security, compliance, and support teams to implement and develop backup and DR plans, ensuring the recoverability of services within agreed time frames and recovery points.
Responsibilities- Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery technology both on‑premises and in the cloud.
- Assist in the evaluation and implementation of on‑premises and cloud‑based backup and DR solutions for AWS, Azure, and Nutanix.
- Identify change impact on backup and DR plans through change management and projects.
- Provide technical guidance to projects around backup and DR.
- Develop a framework for backup and DR encompassing all IT infrastructure and applications.
- Collaborate to create, document, and test backup/restore and DR processes, including runbooks.
- Work with application hosting vendors to document and audit their DR plans.
- Collaborate with Security/Compliance teams to ensure compliance and audit requirements.
- Develop and document RTO, RPO, and SLAs around backup and DR.
- Lead tabletop exercises and DR event tests; compile and report KPIs and metrics.
- Provide thought leadership around backup and DR technology; manage assignments and priorities.
- Technical lead experience on backup and/or DR projects.
- 4+ years experience with industry‑standard backup and DR products such as Cohesity.
- 4+ years experience with infrastructure technologies: AWS, Azure, Nutanix, Net App, Windows, O365, MS SQL, Active Directory.
- Experience with networking concepts and enterprise firewalls.
- 2 years experience with ITIL standards and concepts, preferably in Service Now.
- 1 year experience reporting on metrics and status of activities.
- Knowledge of scripting and automation (Power Shell, VBScript, Python, AWS Cloud Formation).

The expected salary range for this position is $140 to $150K and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
