Deputy Chief Technology Officer

The following are the essential functions for the Deputy Chief Technology Officer—Enterprise Hosting position within the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT).

• Subject to management approval, serves as the Deputy Chief Technology Officer—Enterprise Hosting for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), serving as the principal policy and administrative lead for the management processes for Enterprise Infrastructure Operations and Network Operations Information Technology (IT) services statewide.
• Leads and manages the development and implementation of new technology products and services by researching and recommending advanced information technology solutions, driving adoption while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and operational excellence within the infrastructure, network, and technology teams.
• Serves as the official agency spokesperson on behalf of the Chief Technology Officer to internal and external entities regarding infrastructure and network issues.
• Serves as full line supervisor.
• Directs the enterprise hosting budget preparation, procurement, and controls the appropriation of technology expenditures, including analyzing and providing management with justification of expenditures as well as information on feasibility, availability, and pricing of technologies and services.
• Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
