Position: Tax Data Warehouse Analyst (Information Systems Analyst II, Option A)

Overview

This position serves as a Tax Data Warehouse Analyst, supporting Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR). In the Tax Data Warehouse Analyst role, you will coordinate and conduct complex application development using Gen Tax and Microsoft SQL programming language for the database design, program design, and the supplied Gen Tax tools for testing new processes.

In addition, you will serve as a project technical lead for a full-range projects including large hardware/software deployments and installation while independently planning, developing, and implementing techniques for gathering and interpreting data.

Essential

Functions
  • Under administrative direction, serves as a Tax Data Warehouse Analyst for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT) supporting Illinois Department of Revenue (IDOR) in performing complex professional and advisory functions in Application Services.
  • Serves as a mentor and subject matter expert (SME) to Gen Tax Data Warehouse and Research team members.
  • Serves as a project technical lead for a full-range major/complex projects including large hardware/software deployments and installation.
  • Serves as a primary support for scheduled and remedial maintenance to the assigned applications.
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in the information technology field by continuing education through online training platforms, meetings, training sessions, seminars, and conferences to increase familiarity with and remain current on products, vendors, techniques, and procedures.
  • Analyzes and recommends new procedures and techniques to improve the supported application systems.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to four (4) years of college with course work in computer science or directly related fields.
  • Requires three (3) years of professional experience in Application Services or a related Information Technology field.
