Senior Specialist Solution Architect

The Senior Specialist Solution Architect will support the Department of Defense (DoD) by leveraging expertise in Kubernetes, Virtualization, networking, and cloud infrastructure . This role focuses on pre-sales efforts in the government sector, particularly with the Red Hat Open Shift Container Platform. The architect will create compelling solutions for customers, ensuring they invest wisely in cloud technologies that enhance agility, security, and efficiency.

Strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to develop enterprise-level business solutions are essential for success in this position.

The Senior Specialist Solution Architect is responsible for working independently and leading the resolution of varied and non-routine complex technical challenges, exercising independent judgment and creative solutioning, to secure customer validation and adoption of technical solutions. This role serves as the subject matter expert (SME) for specific product line(s), providing deep technical expertise in pre-sales engagements, including custom demos, workshops, and Proof of Concepts (POCs).

The position collaborates closely with account teams, product engineering, customer success, and partner ecosystems to align solutions with business outcomes. The Senior Specialist Solution Architect may coordinate the activities of other team members (team lead) to ensure successful project completion and mentors new team members by providing guidance and advice.

Knowledge and experience with the US Army is a plus for this position. You'll cover US Army and USSOCOM customers exclusively.

• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert to secure customer validation of technical solutions, supporting the account team in pre‑sales engagements.
• Deliver tailored technical presentations , including deep‑dive demos, workshops, and POCs, leveraging traditional and emerging tools where applicable.
• Develop technical strategies for complex opportunities, including RFx e.g. Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses and architecture designs.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams to align solution designs with product roadmaps and industry advancements.
• Partner with customer success and ecosystem partners to ensure smooth post‑sale adoption and expansion.
• Create reusable technical assets (e.g., architecture templates, battle cards) to scale best practices.
• Mentor junior team members on solution architecture principles and stakeholder alignment techniques.
• Represent the company in technical forums , sharing insights on product capabilities and real‑world use cases.

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 2-5 years of experience working in a technical presale, support, or consulting role.
• Strong Technical knowledge in Kubernetes, Virtualization, and Networking.
• Knowledge of and operational experience with methodologies related to automation and/or cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge of enterprise cloud solution deploying and running solutions in a cloud environment and private, public, and hybrid clouds.
• Solid Linux system administration skills at the Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) level or higher; certifications are a plus.
• Ability to travel up to 50%.
• TS clearance or higher is preferred, but not required.

The salary range for this position is $ - $ (inclusive of base pay + target incentive compensation). Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.
