OverviewAssists in supporting IT project management activities within the Office of the Secretary of State. This role provides technical and administrative support to project managers and senior staff, ensuring project documentation, tracking, and reporting are completed accurately and on time. Helps coordinate small tasks, manages team members and stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assisting with project planning by preparing schedules, task lists, and documentation.
- Supporting project execution by monitoring progress and updating tracking tools.
- Maintaining project records, reports, and documentation in compliance with standards.
- Providing technical support to project staff, including troubleshooting basic IT issues.
- Assisting in communication between cross-functional teams and external vendors.
- Preparing status updates and reports for review by the Project Manager.
- Supporting resource allocation tracking and budget monitoring under supervision.
- Performing clerical and logistical tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and distributing materials.
- Assisting with quality assurance checks and compliance reviews.
- Performing other duties as required or assigned.
Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of one year of college, with coursework in the computer science field OR 1.5 years of technical systems and programming experience OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
- Requires elementary knowledge of Information Technology concepts and principles, the theories and functions of computer systems, and the principles and techniques of Information Technology documentation.
- Requires elementary knowledge of hardware and software, languages, and procedures to provide assigned technical and analytical support services.
