Essential Functions
  • Subject to management approval, serves as the Deputy Chief Information Officer of Product Delivery & Engineering for the Department of Innovation & Technology (DoIT), supporting the Department of Children & Family Services (DCFS) within a product‑based operating model, planning, developing, organizing, controlling, and managing overall activities of product delivery teams.
  • Collaborates, administers and implements in conjunction with Infrastructure Support, Data Management, and DoIT Architecture groups for the development and maintenance of overall DoIT/DCFS standards and procedures.
  • Serves as full line supervisor.
  • Speaks on behalf of the Chief Information Officer and serves as representative to private, state, and federal agencies regarding IT application development, product delivery, and digital platform strategy needs, procurements, and maintenance.
  • Formulates the Product Delivery & Engineering Services budget and monitors expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college with coursework in management information systems, information technology, computer science, or a directly related Information Technology field.
  • Requires prior experience equivalent to four (4) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in management information systems and computer systems in a public or business Information Technology organization.
  • Requires four (4) years of professional experience supervising and directing a team of Information Technology professionals in a large and highly complex public or private IT organization.
Preferred Qualifications (In Order Of Significance)
  • Four (4) years of professional experience managing application development teams in a complex, multi‑team environment, including direct supervision of professional staff.
